# Pioneer Meeting
### Have a regular schedule
Balance is required
*Well Duh*
Acts 19: 9 - 9But when some stubbornly refused to believe, speaking injuriously about The Way before the crowd, he withdrew from them and separated the disciples from them, giving talks daily in the school auditorium of Ty·ranʹnus.
Study Note on "school auditorium of Tyrannus": Pauls schedule was likely 11am to 4pm. He had a regular schedule that he stuck with.
Early in the morning, early in the day, early in the week, early in the month, early in the year.
### Maintain a Regular Schedule
Balance is essential.
*Self-evident.*
Acts 19:9 - "But when some stubbornly refused to believe, speaking injuriously about The Way before the crowd, he withdrew from them and separated the disciples from them, giving talks daily in the school auditorium of Tyranʹnus."
Study Note: Paul's schedule was likely 11 am to 4 pm. He maintained a consistent routine.
This emphasizes consistency: early in the morning, early in the day, early in the week, early in the month, early in the year.
### Schedule a specific time each month to engage in various forms of the ministry
*Well, we're failing on that one aren't we*
Yea but things still work so don't question it.
### Schedule Specific Ministry Activities Monthly
*We seem to struggle with this, don't we?*
Despite challenges, the work continues, so let's focus on improvement.
Acts 20:20,21 - 20while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house. 21But I thoroughly bore witness both to Jews and to Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.
Publicly, House to House, Letter, Phone, Informal
If anything mechanical falls out of balance, then it eventually falls apart. Why would humans be any different? If we fall out of balance, eventually we will fall apart.
Acts 20:20, 21 - "while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house. But I thoroughly bore witness both to Jews and to Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus."
Ministry methods include: Public preaching, House-to-house, Letters, Phone calls, Informal witnessing.
Just as mechanical systems fail when out of balance, humans can also suffer negative consequences from imbalance.
Most people tend to find door to door ministry to be the most difficult. How to help?
Practice
Workshops
Take Breaks
Keep things simple
OD Book: Lesson 9, Par 6,7
Pray for help, Jehovah will help us.
We aren't alone up there.
Pray, Hope in Jehovah, and Act.
Many find door-to-door ministry challenging. Here are some suggestions:
Practice regularly.
Conduct workshops.
Take necessary breaks.
Keep explanations simple.
Refer to the "Our Ministry" book, Lesson 9, paragraphs 6-7:
Pray for Jehovah's help; he will assist us.
We are not alone in our ministry.
Combine prayer, hope in Jehovah, and action.
### Show Insight When Facing Economic Difficulties
Phillipians 4:12 - 12I know how to be low on provisions and how to have an abundance. In everything and in all circumstances I have learned the secret of both how to be full and how to hunger, both how to have an abundance and how to do without.
Paul faced economic hardships, but learned the secret on how to deal with it. The secret? Contentment.
This is why we need to keep a simple life, it helps us keep our joy in the ministry
### Show Resourcefulness During Economic Hardships
Philippians 4:12 - "I know how to be low on provisions and how to have an abundance. In everything and in all circumstances I have learned the secret of both how to be full and how to hunger, both how to have an abundance and how to do without."
Paul experienced economic difficulties but learned the secret to managing them: contentment.
Maintaining a simple life supports our joy in the ministry.
### Have a Good Spiritual Routine
What can help us not to neglect our spiritual routine?
Add study to our regular routine/schedule
2 Tim 4:9,13, 21 - 9Do your utmost to come to me shortly. 13When you come, bring the cloak I left at Troʹas with Carpus, and the scrolls, especially the parchments. 21Do your utmost to arrive before winter. Eu·buʹlus sends you his greetings, and so do Puʹdens and Liʹnus and Clauʹdi·a and all the brothers.
It was cold, and he also wanted his personal study notes. He really wanted timiothy to arrive quickly, for it was cold.
SIDE NOTE: **2 Tim 4:14 study note
**Jehovah will repay him:** Paul here expresses confidence that God will repay Alexander the coppersmith **according to his deeds.** The apostle thus echoes several verses in the Hebrew Scriptures that refer to Jehovah God as the one who repays humans for their actions, whether good or bad. One example is [Ps 62:12](jwpub://b/NWTR/19:62:12-19:62:12), where the psalmist says: “O Jehovah, . . . you repay each one according to his deeds.” (See also [Ps 28:1,](jwpub://b/NWTR/19:28:1-19:28:1) [4;](jwpub://b/NWTR/19:28:4-19:28:4) [Pr 24:12;](jwpub://b/NWTR/20:24:12-20:24:12) [La 3:64](jwpub://b/NWTR/25:3:64-25:3:64).) Paul makes a similar point at [Ro 2:6](jwpub://b/NWTR/45:2:6-45:2:6), where he says about God: “He will pay back to each one according to his works. And quoting Jehovahs words at [De 32:35](jwpub://b/NWTR/5:32:35-5:32:35), Paul says at [Ro 12:19](jwpub://b/NWTR/45:12:19-45:12:19): “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.

### Cultivate a Strong Spiritual Routine
What can help us maintain our spiritual routine?
Integrate study into our regular schedule.
2 Timothy 4:9, 13, 21 - "Do your utmost to come to me shortly. [...] When you come, bring the cloak I left at Troʹas with Carʹpus, and the scrolls, especially the parchments. [...] Do your utmost to arrive before winter. Euʹbu·lus sends you his greetings, and so do Puʹdens and Liʹnus and Clauʹdi·a and all the brothers."
Paul's request for his cloak and scrolls highlights his desire for study materials and companionship during a difficult time (it was cold, and he wanted Timothy to arrive before winter).
SIDE NOTE: **2 Timothy 4:14**
**Jehovah will repay him:** Paul expresses confidence that God will repay Alexander the coppersmith "according to his deeds." This aligns with many scriptures where Jehovah is described as the one who repays individuals for their actions, good or bad. Examples include Psalm 62:12, which states: "O Jehovah, . . . you repay each one according to his deeds." (See also Psalm 28:1, 4; Proverbs 24:12; Lamentations 3:64.) Paul reiterates this principle at Romans 2:6, saying about God: "He will pay back to each one according to his works." He also quotes Jehovah's words at Deuteronomy 32:35 in Romans 12:19: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay."
