## Try to // みる
conjugate a verb to て form, and then stick みる at the end. みる is its own verb, and can be conjugated as such:
~みてもいいですか? -> Is it ok if I try...?
~みたい -> I want to try....

To express something you heard, you can stick そうです at the end. You have to use the regular, non-polite form of a verb, not the polite form. You can use either a verb or a noun, but if you use a noun, you have do add だ after it (regular form of です).
今日は雨だそうです。
I heard today it will rain
今日は雨が降るそうです
I heard today it will rain (verb version)
To add the source of the information, add the source, then stick ~によると at the end.
今日は天気予報によると雨が降るそうです
According to the weather forecast, I heard today it will rain
You can also use an adjective, but its usually "Became ADJ", so you need to use ADJ turned into and ADV, then add なる after it. Also works with certain nouns, depends on context.
明日は天気予報によると寒くなるそうです
I heard from the weather report that tomorrow will become cold
週末は天気予報によると嵐になるそうです
I heard from the weather report that it will be come stormy this weekend.
