Imagine, if you will, a classroom—perhaps your old classroom. There are various scientific instruments laid across the counters, and a blackboard up front. Your teacher walks up to the blackboard and draws a line right down the middle, from top to bottom. On the left, he writes **"Evolution"**, and on the right, he writes **"Creation"**. He then loudly says, "Today, we will be having a debate on the theory of evolution versus the theory of creation. All arguments must be backed up with reasoning and evidence. Why don't you start us off?"—pointing to none other than you. What are you going to do? What are you going to say? Which side are you going to pick? What evidence do you have to back up your claim?

Well, hopefully, we won't ever run into this specific issue, but the question still stands. Should we believe in **Evolution**, or should we believe in **Creation**? Why? Does it even matter? In truth, the evolution versus creation controversy is still a vital issue. As such, that will be the topic of discussion for this morning. By the end of the next half hour, we should be well equipped by the Scriptures to decide which side to take, to answer the questions involved in this debate, and show why we made that choice.
