Conjugate a verb into て form, and stick よかったです after it to say that I'm glad that.... Conjugate a verb into て form, and stick よかったです after it to say that I'm glad that....
Sometimes they add "おいて" after the the て form of the verb. This is おく, to put. It means "doing something for a while" or "a lot of preparation". Basically noting something takes more work and effort.
### Examples
- 見つかってよかったです
- I'm glad I found it
- 勉強してよかったです
- I'm glad I studied
- 日本語を習ってよかったです
- I'm glad I learned Japanese
- 聖書を読んでおいてよかったです
